Jordan’s remittances went up by 0.7 per cent during January to September this year, according to the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) figures.
According to CBJ, the amount of money sent home by foreign workers in Jordan totalled $2.8 by the end of September. This is an increase from $2.78 billion in the same period of 2016.
Earlier this year, State Minister for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani noted that the continuous increase was a “sign of the trustworthiness of the national economy”.
